Digital healthcare specialist KIUMTECH (CEO Lee Byung-jae) announced a full-scale empirical project in collaboration with Kyung Hee University to verify the effectiveness of its senior brain and exercise content platform, 'EXERBRAIN'.

This empirical project is designed to scientifically prove the positive effects on cognitive and physical functions of seniors when EXERBRAIN is utilized in actual care settings. The demonstration sites are 'Hyosim Rehabilitation Nursing Home' and 'Silver World Nursing Town' located in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province.

KIUMTECH will install EXERBRAIN in these facilities and have the seniors using the facilities consistently engage with the content over a set period, observing any changes. The research team from Kyung Hee University will comprehensively analyze the data collected during this process to assess EXERBRAIN's effects on △cognitive ability improvement △physical function enhancement and frailty prevention △emotional effects such as depression reduction, as well as △social interaction promotion and △digital literacy (digital adaptability) improvement.

Hyosim Rehabilitation Nursing Home and Silver World Nursing Town, representative care facilities in Dongducheon, will provide differentiated rehabilitation programs utilizing the latest digital healthcare technology to seniors through this introduction.

EXERBRAIN is designed for use by multiple people in welfare and care facilities, featuring content and utilization structures suitable for group program-centered care environments. It applies an integrated design combining motion sensors and touch sensors, allowing users to engage in immersive experiences using their entire bodies, such as screen touches, arm and leg movements, and ball-throwing actions.

KIUMTECH CEO Lee Byung-jae stated, “This industry-academic cooperation research with Kyung Hee University is significant in proving the medical and kinesiological effects of EXERBRAIN through actual field data,” adding, “We will do our best to distribute more reliable digital healthcare solutions to domestic and international care settings based on the empirical results from Hyosim Rehabilitation Nursing Home and Silver World Nursing Town.”

Meanwhile, KIUMTECH plans to expand the supply of EXERBRAIN to local government smart senior centers, national and public nursing homes, and welfare centers, including the Seoul Digital Companion Plaza, based on the results of this effectiveness verification.
